AdVault

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the AdVault — Ad Library Media Downloader browser extension ("AdVault", "the extension", "we") handles information. In short: AdVault does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything the extension does happens locally in your browser.

What the extension does

AdVault adds a Download button to ads shown on the public Ad Library page. When you click the button, the extension reads the image or video URLs that are already present on that page and downloads the media to your device. For carousel or multi-media ads, it bundles all of the ad's media into a single ZIP file. That is the extension's only function.

Information we collect

We do not collect any information. AdVault does not gather, record, or transmit any of the following:

The extension has no account system and no login. It does not build a user profile and does not use tracking pixels, cookies, or any analytics service.

How your data is handled

All processing happens locally on your device. When you click Download, your browser requests the media file directly from the content-delivery servers that host it, and the file is saved straight to your computer. AdVault does not route this data through any server of ours, because we operate no servers and receive no data.

Permissions

AdVault requests no special API permissions. It uses a single content script that runs only on the Ad Library page (facebook.com/ads/library) in order to display the Download button and read the publicly visible ad media. The extension does not run on any other website and does not request access to your tabs, storage, browsing history, or any broad host permissions.

Remote code

AdVault does not load or execute any remote code. All scripts are bundled inside the extension package. No code is fetched from any external server at runtime.

Third-party services

When you download media, your browser connects directly to the platform's media servers (for example, Meta's content-delivery network) to retrieve the file. Those requests are made by your browser and are governed by the platform's own privacy policy and terms of service. AdVault is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Meta Platforms, Inc.

Children's privacy

AdVault is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
